Music and Drama

School Band
The band comprising of pupils from Fifth and Sixth Classes visits the local hospital and lays for the patients at Christmas. They also play at the Carol Festival.

School Choir
Pupils from Third, Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Classes take part in the School choir. They sing at the Mercy day Mass, Carol recital, St. Parick’s Day Irish Mass, Confirmation and First Holy Communion Masses.

Drama classes were a particular highlight and we had wonderful performances at Christmas and at Easter from all the classes. Every child had the opportunity to perform on stage in front of a packed hall. We look forward to more next year!!

Folk Dances
The children have learned a lot of folk dances such as, Drop of water from Holland, Karzula from Poland, Pupu Hinu Hinu from Hawaii and Seven jumps from Denmark.
One of the dances was the Pu Pu Hinu Hinu. They used shells to dance to this Hawaiian lullaby.

Musical Treats.
